Forza Horizon 3 Demo to go live Next Week for Xbox users

Forza Horizon 3 may be coming to consoles in late September, but fans of the racing game will be able to get hold of a demo earlier on, with reports zeroing in on next week.

While Microsoft hasn’t really been forthcoming about when the demo will be released, an official page cites the date for the demo to go live as early as September 12, 5:30 AM for players in India. The page also hints at a host of other information, including the cars players will be able to sample, the world they will explore, and the gameplay.

However, the sore bit of news the site carries is the fact that the demo will only be downloadable for the Xbox One, apparently giving a miss to players who prefer to play on their PC. It also says that the demo will be pretty large in size, with the listing information stating it will need 18.34 GB of free space. Nothing concrete has been mentioned about what exactly the demo will contain. Also, whether the demo will be made available on the PC anytime soon is yet to be addressed.

Forza Horizon 3 is an open world racing game set in Australia, and it is being developed by Playground Games. The game’s publisher is Microsoft, who claim that the new game will feature the biggest map in the series yet, being twice the size of Forza Horizon 2. Additionally, there will be over 350 of the most amazing cars to choose from.

Forza Horizon 3 was announced at this year’s E3 during Microsoft’s event. Unlike the last instalment in the series, the player in Forza Horizon 3 will be in charge of the Horizon Festival. As the announcement goes: “Customise everything, hire and fire your friends, and explore Australia in over 350 of the world’s greatest cars. Make your Horizon the ultimate celebration of cars, music, and freedom of the open road. How you get there is up to you”. Players can even expect to create custom race tracks throughout the map.

Forza Horizon 3 will be released worldwide on September 27, 2016, exclusively for Microsoft platforms. It will be part of the Xbox Play Anywhere campaign, which means that players who buy it for one platform will be able to play it across both. The game is available for pre-order on Amazon for the price of INR 3,999.
