Injustice 2: After the massive success of ”Injustice: Gods Among Us”, fans are eagerly waiting for the next instalment of the game, “Injustice 2” to release. Though the much-anticipated action based video game is scheduled to release in 2017 for PS4 and Xbox One consoles, as per the recent reports, the Injustice 2 release date gets delayed as the development of the game is hindered due to the recent strike amongst the voice actors.
Injustice 2 Release Date
Initially, it has been speculated that the Injustice 2 will be launched in March 2017. But the recent reports suggest that the Injustice 2 release date could be delayed as the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists went on strike, demanding some modifications to the two-decade-old contract. As the makers, Warner Brothers and NetherRealm Studios, have remained silent about the issue and any concrete information on the strike is unknown, it is not clear how the issue will possibly effect on the game’s production timeline and the planned launch date.
Injustice 2: Gameplay, Features & New Characters
The Chicago-based NetherRealm Studios and the Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment released the ”Injustice: Gods Among Us” in 2013. And since then people are going gaga about the successor of this action-based video game, the Injustice 2. Although the makers have said that they will retain numerous gameplay mechanics from the first instalment of the game, the Injustice 2 will run on the Mortal Kombat X engine. This is going to be a great upgradation for the game as the software application provided some amazing visuals when Mortal Kombat X released last year. So we are very much certain that the addition of the Mortal Kombat X engine in the Injustice 2 will boost the game’s background and visuals in such a manner which we have not experienced before.
The makers of the Injustice 2 had already announced that eleven DC heroes and villains are going to feature in the game. The roster features Superman, Batman, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Supergirl, Blue Beetle, Atrocitus, Gorilla Grodd, Harley Quinn and Deadshot. Now according to some recent reports, a new set of characters, including Booster Gold, Lady Shiva, Vixen, Zoom, Black Alice, Matter-Eater Lad, Grail and Doctor Manhattan are also set to join that roster. Moreover, other characters like Red Hood, Swamp Thing, Starfire, Beast Boy, Ra’s al Ghul, John Constantine, Black Canary, The Atom and Captain Cold are also expected to feature in this ever-growing roster of the Injustice 2. Apart from the DC characters, a Mortal Kombat character like Scorpion, Alien or Predator may also be included in the Injustice 2 as the guest fighter.
Moreover, the Injustice 2 gameplay will also go through some changes from its previous version. The second instalment of this hugely popular video game series is expected to feature a “loot system” by which each winning character will take over new skills and powers from the losing character. The new tagline of the game, “Every battle defines you” also supports the same fact.
Injustice 2: Available for Smartphones
As FabNewz predicted earlier, Injustice 2 is coming on the smartphones; it seems like the prediction is going to be true indeed. The creator of the Mortal Kombat, Ed Boon recently revealed that NetherRealm Studios is currently working on to develop an iOS and Android versions of the Injustice 2. The developers ran a Twitter poll asking the fans whether they want Injustice 2 mobile version, and with the huge number of positive responses they got, they have finally decided to make one.
