Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Chipset Geekbench Testing Results Revealed

It has been quite a long while that we have been receiving news and updates regarding the arrival of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor on the market. And as we approach the end of the year 2016 we can expect further news and updates to come up as we have previously known that the Snapdragon 835 processor will be unveiled in the earlier part of the year 2017. The latest news has revealed the Geekbench testing results of the Snapdragon 835 processor which promises a lot despite having raised few questions regarding its superiority when compared to its predecessors.

The tests through which the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor has passed on Geekbench have revealed that it has managed to score 1844 points in the single-core testing. In the multi-core testing, it has managed to receive 5426 points which are higher than that of the others when they are brought into comparison. The device which has been used to put the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor under the Geekbench test comes with the title Essential FIH-PM1 which has a 4 GB RAM alongside a 1.95 GHz octa-core processor. The device is found to be running on an Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.

When compared with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor featured in the OnePlus 3T and the Kirin 960 processor in the Huawei Mate 9, it can be said that it has failed to live up to the expectations. Because the Kirin 960 processor present in the Huawei Mate 9 has received 6439 points in the multi-core testing and 1949 points in the single-core testing, both of which are higher than what the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor has received. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor got 1942 points in the single core testing and 4969 points in the multi-core testing. The scores of the Snapdragon 821 processor is more than what the upcoming one has got in the single-core tests, and the multi-core tests have also yielded results which have got very little to choose from.

However, the biggest difference that could be noticed is in the detailed description of the results where we can observe that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor has been rated much higher than the Snapdragon 821 processor as well as the Kirin 960 processor in the Memory latency and the memory bandwidth sections in the multi-core tests. This makes the device all the more efficient and faster than its competitors which eventually rates it higher as well.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor is reportedly coming out during the CES 2017. At least the Twitter handle of Qualcomm has revealed that in a tweet yesterday which reads that the new processor is going to come out during the CES 2017. Till then we have to keep on waiting. And it seems that it is going to be worth waiting.
