Swipe Technologies has followed up its popular budget smartphone, the Swipe Elite 2, with the Swipe Elite 3. The new Swipe Elite 3 is a 4G VoLTE-enabled smartphone which has been made available exclusively from Tuesday on online shopping platform Flipkart. The phone is priced very conservatively at Rs. 5,499 and has a 5-inch HD display. The new smartphone has been made available in two colour variants, Space Gray and Champagne Gold.
Swipe Elite 3 Specs and Features
The new Swipe Elite 3 is a fine phone if one goes by the budget smartphone segment. It is a dual-SIM smartphone which runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box. Overlaid on the Android 6.0 OS is the Indus OS, which was earlier known as Firstouch. The Indus OS is a multi-lingual mobile operating system based on the Android OS and has been developed in India for domestic mobile use. The new smartphone has a competent 5-inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels. The new Swipe Elite 3 is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core Spreadtrum SC9832 processor. This SoC is mated to 2GB of RAM. The just-launched smartphone comes with a native storage of 16GB. This can be expanded thanks to the microSD card up to 32GB.
When it comes to the optics on the new Swipe Elite 3, the smartphone again shows reliable, if not outstanding, features. An 8-megapixel rear camera is complemented by a LED flash. The front snapper is 5-megapixel. The smartphone is powered by a 2500mAh battery. The new Swipe Elite 3 is lightweight at a mere 172.5 grams.
Other features on the new smartphone include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi support and a 3.5mm audio jack. Connectivity options include GPS and Bluetooth. Sensors include a proximity sensor and an accelerometer. Some added features include support for 12 regional languages in India. The new Swipe Elite 3 also has the Opera Mini Browser pre-installed. Overall, the new phone seems a decent buy with reasonable specs. The Elite 3 follows the Swipe Konnect Star which was released last week by Swipe Technologies.
