Huawei P10 Lite With Superb Cameras and 4GB RAM Launched

Huawei, the Shenzen, China-based smartphone manufacturer, has launched the Huawei P10 Lite in the UK. This is the third and the most affordable entrant in the P10 series, two of which, the P10 and the P10 Plus, were launched at the recently concluded Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The new budget flagship device has officially been launched at a price of $370 or GBP 299, which is around Rs 24,000. This new device will boast of 4GB RAM, a 3000 mAh, and will commence sales from March 31.

The new Huawei P10 Lite is a hybrid dual-SIM phone and the overall impression which the Huawei P10 Lite conveys is similar to the Huawei P10 flagship devices, which are more expensive, however. With a curved 2.5D glass on the front and with a decent and strong metal frame, the new Huawei P10 Lite comes with a 5.2-inch Full-HD display with a screen resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. The device will be powered under the hood by a 2.15GHz octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 658 SoC. The graphics processor on the Huawei P10 Lite is the Mali-T830MP2. This will make the device a good competitor to its more expensive smartphone competitors.

With 4GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage (which can be expanded up to 128GB by a very handy microSD card), the device will run EMUI 5.1 based on Android 7.0. The P10 Lite is set to be offered in colour options of Midnight Black and Platinum Gold.  In keeping with the flavour of the season, the fingerprint scanner has migrated to the back for extra safety. It might be an impediment to using the device with one hand, experts suggest.

Being a budget flagship device, the new Huawei P10 Lite comes with standard, but not spectacular, cameras. Expect a single 12-megapixel rear or primary camera on the back, without the Leica brand that was seen in previous iterations like the P10 and the P10 Plus. The front snapper is a decent 8-megapixel one which will admirably take care of selfies and video calling. The new Portrait Selfie mode equipped with bokeh effects, or better out-of-focus photography, is also featured in the front camera.

The new Huawei P10 Lite boasts of a 3000mAh battery which will also support fast charging. With dimensions of 146.5x72x7.2mm and a gross weight of 142 grams, the phone will be handy and unlike the bricks which are sold as smartphones nowadays. A clever feature called Knuckle Sense (which lets the display to be used by tapping and drawing with the knuckles) renders this new budget smartphone rather nifty.
