Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 Price and Availability Revealed

The star of this year’s tablet wars, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3, was officially revealed at this year’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona last month. At that time, however, the new tablet, with a superior 9.7-inch QXGA Super AMOLED display, had not shed its secrets on the price as well as the availability. Now, however, both of them have ben made public. The new entry from the house of Samsung has been priced competitively at $599.99 (just over Rs 39,000) while the keyboard accessory for the Tab 3 will be made available from $129.99. This amounts to $129.99 which translates to Rs 8,521.

The new Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 will also be made available for pre-order from today. It will go on sale from 24th March, which is next week. Should you decide to be an early-adopter, you can also order the Tab S3 from Samsung’s own online store besides third-party online retailers like Amazon and Best Buy. Available colours will be Black and Silver.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 has a superior, sharper, and a brighter display with a 9.7-inch QXGA Super AMOLED display and boasts of a screen resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels. One very distinguishing feature of the new Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 is that it has built-in support for HDR (or High-dynamic-range) which increases the luminosity of the images. It will support 10bit coloured HDR images which will ensure true-to-life imagery as well as more vivid colours.  On offer are the S-Pen, Samsung’s take on the humble stylus, and the Pogo keyboard cover, which can be magnetically attached to the device magnetically. Two models of the new Tab S3 are expected: one with Wi-Fi support and one with LTE support.

The new tablet will arrive with a four stereo speaker setup ramped up by AKG with direction control: if you switch directions from landscape to portrait or vice versa, the stereo speakers will change direction as well. Automatically. The new device will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor together with 4GB of RAM mated to 32GB of native or internal storage. You can increase the storage to 256GB via a dedicated microSD card slot.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 has a 13-megapixel rear or primary camera with a 5-megapixel front snapper for selfies and video calling. The latest Samsung device will run on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat and will be provided ample juice by a 6,000mAh battery with fast charging. Like all modern tablets, the Galaxy Tab S3 too will support 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.2, and USB Type-C.
