Chinese electronics company Xiaomi’s latest flagship Xiaomi Redmi 4, which was launched last week in India, will go on sale in the country on May 23 from 12 PM IST. The device will be available exclusively through Amazon India and the company’s official website Mi.com.
Amazon India has put together a number of offers on the device, which includes discounts on Mi Cases (Its price has been lessened from Rs. 499 to Rs. 349), Mi Headphones starting at Rs. 599, Rs. 200 credit on the Kindle app, Rs. 500 cashback with YES Bank debit and credit cards and up to Rs. 5,000 off on GoIbibo flight and hotel bookings.
An additional offer of 45GB of free data from Vodafone has also been mentioned by the company. Buyers will need to purchase 1GB or higher 4G data pack or plan, for which they will get 9GB of free data for up to five recharges or monthly rentals.
Although the device comes in three storage variants in India, but for now, only the two lower variants will go on sale via Amazon India as per NDTV Gadget 360 Degrees. The 2GB RAM/16GB internal storage has been priced at Rs. 6,999, while the 3GB/32GB internal memory is priced at Rs. 8,999. The variant which will not go on sale on Tuesday is the 4GB RAM/64GB internal storage, is priced at Rs. 10,999. The company has stated that it will be made available only by the end of June.
The device comes in two color variants – Matte Black and Elegant Gold. The connectivity options of Xiaomi Redmi 4 includes Bluetooth v4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro USB with OTG, 4G VoLTE, 3.5mm audio jack and GPS/ A-GPS.
The flagship model also comes with a number of splendid features. Chief among them are Second Space, which allows multi-account profiles; Dual Apps, which allows users to utilize two different WhatsApp accounts at the same time; and App Lock, which allows to set password and fingerprint locks for apps.
