WhatsApp’s Latest Update Set to Support YouTube Videos

WhatsApp is one such messaging platform, the developer of which releases new updates quite frequently. And it is not too much of a surprise that a new update of the app is set to come out soon. In that new update, the users will be able to watch YouTube videos within the app.

At this moment, the users of WhatsApp are redirected to the official web page of YouTube in case you click on a link that has been forwarded to the user. That turns out to be a bit awkward for the users at times. And that has been one of the problems that have persisted for a long time. But with the new update set to come in soon, things are looking really bright for the users of this text messaging platform.

This new update with version number 2.17.40 solves this problem. The users will now be able to view the video in the particular chat window where he or she has received the link. The picture in picture concept really enhances the user’s experience. Also, the screen will zoom in on a particular spot where the user pinches. And in case, the video is causing any hindrance to the proper reading of the text message, the user can hide the picture in picture mode for the time being. To avail that facility you need to swipe the video to the right.

However, it is the users of Apple devices who have come across this new feature. The proud possessors of the Apple iPhone 6 & 6 Plus, iPhone 6S & 6S Plus, and iPhone 7 & 7S Plus will be able to enjoy this new feature while using WhatsApp. Both users of the app on the Android platform and Windows platform will have to wait to come across this update. It is expected that it is not going to be too long before this update is rolled out by the developer of the app.

This new update comes in the wake of another update of WhatsApp which came out a few days back enabling the users to share files of different formats. So it seems that the developer of the app is looking forward to taking the user experience to new heights which will wipe out any competition from other online text messaging platforms.
