This Knife Takes Over 100 Hours To Create

If you’re in the market for a chef’s knife, Vie Belles has now introduced their new collection of knives and an everyday cutting board, meticulously crafted for anyone from a culinary professional to a beginner at-home cook.

Luxury Pro 8” Chef’s Knife: 100 Hours Handcrafted

Their featured knife, the Luxury Pro Chef’s Knife, is handcrafted from one solid piece of Cocobolo wood, derived from Central America. According to Vie Belles, this wood is rated as incredibly durable and stands up well to repeated handling and exposure to water, not to mention, it’s incredibly attractive. The handle is also equipped with black pure Micarta, a mosaic pin, and has a finger guard made of grooved brass bolster.

The blade of the Luxury Pro Chef’s knife is also nothing to scoff at. It is made from VG-10 steel core, damascus clad, with 67 folded layers of SUS 430 Japan stainless steel; full tang with a razor sharp 15° blade angle on each side. It has a 61-62 Rockwell Hardness for a durable edge.

The Luxury Pro Knife has an MSRP of $1390, but you can get it at only $180 for a limited time.

Pro 8” Chef’s Knife: 50 Hours Handcrafted

If the Luxury Pro Knife is slightly out of your range, Vie Belles has also made available their Pro Chef’s Knife, made with an olive wood handle and an identical blade to the Luxury Pro. This wood is hard, strong, durable, and perfectly suited for any chef. A double bevel handle also makes this knife suitable for both left and right handed cooks.

The Pro Chef’s Knife has an MSRP of $490, but is available now for $120.

Classic 8” Chef’s Knife: 50 Hours Handcrafted

The final knife in the Vie Belles collection is also the most affordable. At only $30, the Classic Chef’s Knife is made from one solid piece of Pakka wood. In addition to being attractive, durable, and non-slip, pakka wood is easy to clean, bacteria-resistant, and waterproof.

The blade of the Classic Chef’s Knifei s made of German Stainless Steel. It has full tang with a 15° blade angle and a Rockwell hardness of 56. Like the Pro Chef’s Knife, this one also has a double-bevel for left & right handed cooks.

Everyday Cutting Board

Vie Belles has also released their double-sided cutting board, which was inspired by modern art. This cutting board is made from three types of wood, including Oregon black walnut, maple, and oak, and then it is top coated with an oiled, food-safe finish.

While this is an “everyday” cutting board, it also has some neat features you won’t be able to find everywhere. For ease of storage, a magnetic strip runs down the center of the board to hold knives in place, and , to prevent food from being stuck, Vie Belles has equipped the everyday cutting board with a slot for cooks to knock out any particles.
