LG K8 Now in India at Rs 9,999: Check All Details

LG, the globally popular South Korea handset and other devices manufacturer, may have pulled off a very quiet launch with their new offering, the LG K8. The device was part of the LG ‘K’ series on which we had reported earlier in the year. The LG K8 is now in India for a price of Rs 9,999. It has pretty decent features which will not disappoint the users.

According to a post from the verified Twitter account of popular Mumbai-based tipster and retailer @Mahesh Telecom, the LG K8 is now officially in India. As of now, there is no information on the status of availability in India as of now. That being said, we do know some of the details of the LG K8’s specs and features.

The LG K8 is, essentially, a budget device and its specs sheet reflects that fact as well. The new device from LG has a 5-inch HD display with a 720p resolution. This means that the display will be pretty bright. Keeping the device powered is a 1.3GHz quad-core processor which will work in tandem with 1.5GB RAM and 16GB of native or inbuilt memory capacity. Thanks to the supported microSD card, the native memory capacity will be expandable.

As far as cameras and optics are concerned, the LG K8 includes an 8MP rear/primary camera paired with a 5MP selfie snapper in line with traditional design philosophy. The LG K8 has multiple connectivity options like Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, as well as standard tropes like Wi-Fi and dual SIM support. Keeping the lights on is a 2125mAh battery which, we believe, is very decent, given the low energy consumption nature of the smartphone.

The LG K8 was originally priced at Rs 11,000 and has received a price cut to now sell for Rs 9,999. How it fares against some of the popular offerings in this segment, including the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, is something that only time will tell.
