Reliance has bumped up its LYF series of 4G-enabled smartphones with the new LYF C451 series of smartphones. The new device will come for Rs 4,999. Given the fact that this is a budget device and will support 4G and VoLTE services, Reliance’s ambitious attempt to dominate the domestic 4G market seems to be laid bare once again. The LYF C451 has been listed on the LYF website under the Connect series of smartphones.

The new Reliance C451 has a lot of pretty decent features which will give it a steady place in face of intense competition. A quick check of the spec sheet reveals a 4.5-inch FWVGA display with a screen resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. This display unit will be given a brighter look thanks to the 218 PPI or Pixels Per Inch. Added protection will be offered by the 2D Asahi Glass which will be overlaid on the display. In terms of features, this new smartphone is pretty similar to the LYF C459 which was unveiled recently.
The new LYF smartphone has, at its core, a 1.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 MSM8909 processor. It will have 1GB of RAM and graphics will be handled by the Adreno 304 GPU. 1GB of RAM indicates that this handset is squarely in the budget segment. Also on offer is 8GB of internal/native storage, expandable to up to 128GB via a micro SD card.

The new reliance device boasts of a 5-megapixel rear/primary camera that also has auto focus and an LED flash for company. Also present is a 2-megapixel front snapper ideal for taking selfies as well as for video calling. Other great camera features also include Face detection, as well as Multi-shot, Panorama and Geo tagging. Some other features of the cameras include face and smile detection as well as gaze detection.
Reliance LYF C451 Software and Battery
Powering the new device is a handy 2800 mAh Lithium-ion battery which, Reliance claims, offers up-to 12.5 hours of talk-time besides up to 240 hours of standby time. These figures are valid for use on a standard 4G network. This battery will also offer up to 45 hours of audio playback. The new Reliance LYF C451 device will come for Rs 4,999 and will also have a 1-year warranty. For now, only a white-colored variant has been announced and the device will be available for purchase in Reliance Digital Stores as well.
