Nokia 3310 3G Goes in the US For $59.99

After revealing the price tag of Nokia 2 in the US, here’s one more good news for the US fans. The Nokia 3310, being a feature phone has had its own share in the rumor mill, ever since it was anticipated to sport a classy outlook. Since then we have reported various news on HMD Global’s Nokia 3310. The healthy dose of nostalgia was unveiled by the Finnish tech conglomerate back in the month of February. Only after the outrage received, the company decided to bring the 3G version of the feature phone, which was unveiled last month. Now if the report is to be believed, Nokia 3310 3G is tipped to start shipping from October 29. To add the cherry on the cake, the feature phone’s preorder has opened for the US fans.

As per key specs, Nokia 3310 sports 2.4-inch QVGA colour display with a support of 240×320 pixels. Underneath, it runs on ‘Feature OS powered by Java’ (as reported) and is clubbed with 64MB storage. The expandable storage comes up to  32 GB with the help of a microSD card slot. Optics wise, the phone comes with a 2-megapixel camera besides an LED flash. Much to the delight of music enthusiasts, the Nokia 3310 comes with an FM radio.

Right from the time of Nokia 3310 3G’s FCC certification appeared, it was no secret that it would be a 3G variant. Alike to its original sibling, the Nokia 3310 sports a massive standby time up to one month. With the inclusion of regular Micro-USB port, the feature handset ditches the pin charger. Connectivity-wise, the Nokia 3310 features Bluetooth 2.1 to pair with speakers as well as other phones. Optimised for the new color screen, the classic Snake game in the feature phone is much of a delight. The new customisation options include choosing color themes as well as rearranging icons.

Nokia 3310 will be available in four color variants- Azure, Charcoal, Warm Red, and Yellow colors. Initially, the feature phone was unveiled in the Australian market shelves. Eventually, the company has decided to expand its availability and thus Nokia 3310 is hitting the US markets with a price tag of $59.99 (i.e. approx. Rs. 4000).
