Xiaomi Introduces New Mi Mix 2 Starck Edition Alongside The Ceramic Version

If the latest report is to be considered important, Xiaomi has recently launched a new variant of Mi Mix 2, dubbed the Mi Mix 2 ceramic version. Initially, the Chinese tech giant unveiled its Mi Mix 2 in just one color (the white color variant), now it seems it has also introduced the black color variant of the device. With all the glams and glitz, the new Mi Mix 2 ceramic version will go on sales starting from November 28. Breaking the ice, Xiaomi alongside also introduces a limited edition, dubbed the Mi Mix 2 Starck Edition.

Designed by the French designer, Philippe Starck, the device comes with “Starck” inscribed at the rear panel. When officially the device was launched back in September, Xiaomi declared that the smartphone will eventually be available in two color variants. While one will be a ceramic version with an aluminum alloy frame, another model will be available with a fully ceramic design. The aluminum alloy frame model comes with 6GB RAM and up to 256GB of default storage and the fully ceramic model comes in just one configuration (8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage), reports Gizmochina.

According to what the company has offered, the fully ceramic version has gone through a number of tests in order to ensure that the device meets the desired standards. The foremost thing included putting the device through the temperature test of  1400°C. While the next thing the company did is to put the handset to a strength test of up to 240 tons.

To recall, Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 comes with a 5.9-inch Full HD display with narrow bezels. Underneath, the device houses Snapdragon 835 processor alongside an Adreno 540 GPU. On the optics front, Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is equipped with a 12-megapixel Sony IMX386 lens and an aperture of f/2.0. Powering the device, there’s a 3,400mAh battery which also has the capacity of supporting the Quick Charge 3.0 technology. As per pricing, Mi Mix 2 Starck Edition comes with a price tag of 4,999 Yuan (approx. $758).
