Samsung Galaxy A8 Pre-Order Starts, Shipments Slated for January 5

Samsung has already announced two of its anticipated device: the Galaxy A8 (2018) and Galaxy A8+ (2018), back in December 2017. And if the latest report is anything to be considered, Samsung Galaxy A8 smartphone has already started with pre-orders and is expected to go on sale from January 5.

The latest report that rolled out is via the South Korean publication, which indicates that Samsung will sell the Galaxy A8 duo smartphones in partnership with the mobile carrier KT Corp, reports GizmoChina. The pre-orders have started from Tuesday, i.e., today and is slated to ship on the coming Friday, i.e., January 5. As per pricing, the Galaxy A8 (2018) will be available with a price tag of 599,500 won, which is around $560.

The report, however, did not shed lights on the fact whether or not the larger Galaxy A8+ (2018) will arrive in South Korea. The Samsung Galaxy A8 comes with several astonishing features from the high-end Galaxy S8 phone like the Infinity Display design, Samsung Pay as well as the Gear VR support. Touted to be the initial phone from the company with dual front-facing cameras, the phone features a 16-megapixel sensor alongside an 8-megapixel sensor.

To say more on this front, the rear side of the device will come with a 16-megapixel camera. The screen will bear a 5.6-inch display which will come with 18.5:9 aspect ratio alongside a screen resolution of 1080 x 2220 pixels. Under the hood, the smartphone will be driven by the Exynos 7885 chipset and coupled with 4 GB of RAM. Fueling the device, there’s a 3,000mAh battery. Other features include a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, the USB-C, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, and 4G LTE. For the South Korean fans, it will be available in three color variants: Black, Blue, and Gold. The Galaxy A8 duo smartphones are also expected to be showcased at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2018 which is slated to hold in the upcoming week.
