Nokia 4 Clears FCC Certification, May House Snapdragon 450

HMD Global is doing the rounds quite often in the rumor mill. While earlier this morning the Finnish tech giant’s media invites for a press conference set to happen on January 25 points out an imminent launch of Nokia 8 Pro, the latest leak surrounds on the fact that Nokia 4 has passed through the FCC Certification.

A new Nokia model with the model number TA-1048 has recently received the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) certification in the U.S. As if we go by the speculations, the Nokia phone could be the Nokia 4 which was earlier spotted along with other unannounced Nokia phones: the Nokia 7 Plus, the Nokia 8 Sirocco via the Nokia Camera app APK teardown, reports GizmoChina.

The Federal Communications Commission’s filing of this alleged Nokia 4 with FCC ID:2AJOTTA-1048 has also revealed that it is expected to arrive with a hybrid SIM slot with the support for the micro SD card slot as well as the micro SIM slot.

Besides this, there has been no information available concerning the specifications of this particular alleged Nokia 4. Speculations are rife that the Nokia 4 will not debut in the Chinese market since the number 4 is considered to be a bad omen. And as it has already been certified by FCC in the US, evidence hints us to the fact that it may launch in the United States.

Alleged Nokia 4 has Cleared the FCC Certification in the US

The Nokia 4 is set to be the successor of Nokia 3. To recall, the Nokia 3 is built in Aluminum frame with the inclusion of a plastic back. The device features a 5.0-inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display and supports a screen resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and an aspect ratio of 16:9. Shielding the device, there’s the Corning Gorilla Glass (unspecified version).

Under the hood, Nokia 3 comes with a quad-core MediaTek MT6737 SoC clocked at 1.4 GHz and Mali-T720MP1 GPU. It pairs with 2GB of RAM and an internal storage of 16GB which is further expandable to up to 256 GB via a microSD card slot. The device comes with 8 MP camera, autofocus, LED flash on the rear panel and 8 MP, f/2.0, autofocus, 720p on the front panel. For the time being, we need to keep an eye on other possible leaks which can shed lights on the specifications of Nokia 3’s successor: the Nokia 4.
