Airtel Launches Superfast Home Broadband Plan with Speeds up to 300 Mbps at Rs 2,199 per Month

India’s largest telecom operator, Bharti Airtel has launched a new superfast Home broadband plan for its customers that will offer speeds up to 300Mbps. The plan will cost Rs 2,199 per month and will offer 1200GB of ultra high-speed data along will unlimited calls across all networks in the country. Airtel currently uses the FTTH (Fiber-To-The-Home) technology to offer ultrahigh upload and download speeds to its customers.

“Following the resounding success of our V-Fiber home broadband offering, we are delighted to introduce the new FTTH based plans for customers looking for higher speeds. Fixed broadband continues to be the preferred in-home mode for customers to consume online digital content and the average usage per home is growing at a breakneck speed,” George Mathen, CEO – Homes, Bharti Airtel said.

He further added, “With this in mind, we will plan to expand our FTTH offerings over the coming days and provide our customers the choice of home broadband plans across a wide range of price points and speeds.”

Customers who opt for this plan will also get a free subscription to Airtel’s OTT apps like Airtel TV and Wynk Music. While the latter offers over three million songs to listen to for the Airtel users, Airtel TV offers over 350+ Live TV channels to watch along with over 10,000 movies and TV shows.

Bharti Airtel currently offers Home broadband and fixed line services in 89 cities of India which is likely to increase in the coming months. It is the second largest fixed-line operator in the country after the government-owned BSNL.

Airtel Broadband has also recently introduced innovative offerings for the customers to add more value to its products. It offers Data Rollover facility that carries forward any unused data from the previous month to the next billing cycle. It also offers Airtel Surprises and myHome Rewards that sometimes provide users with free additional data. With these offers, Airtel has managed to become a popular broadband service provider in the country and compete with the Mukesh Ambani owned Reliance Jio effectively.
