BSNL Launches Rs 99 and Rs 319 Prepaid Packs with Unlimited Voice Calls

Indian government-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has launched two new recharge packs for its prepaid customers in order to compete with Reliance Jio. The two packs priced at Rs 99 and Rs 319 comes with unlimited calling facility for prepaid users.

The Rs 319 prepaid pack of BSNL offers unlimited local, STD and roaming calls to any network except for Mumbai and Delhi circles and comes with a validity of 90 days. As per a report by TelecomTalk, the Rs 99 plan also offers the same benefits of unlimited calls but comes with a validity of 26 days. The company had earlier rolled out the Rs 99 plan in the Kolkata circle only and has now launched it on a pan-India basis.

Recently BSNL also rolled out an IPL special recharge pack of Rs 248 to take on Reliance Jio. The plan offered prepaid users with 153GB of data with a validity of 51 days. This pack was however available till April 30 and allowed the users to stream IPL matches live on their smartphones.

In order to stay in the competition with Reliance Jio and Airtel, the state-owned operator introduced many new prepaid offers in the last couple of months. To talk about them, it rolled out a Rs 551 prepaid pack that offers 1.5GB of data per day with unlimited access after FUP at 80Kbps. It also has a Rs 444 prepaid pack that offers similar benefits to the above-mentioned pack along with unlimited voices calls to any network (calls to other network restricted to 200 minutes per day)with a validity of 60 days. The company also has a Rs 448 prepaid pack that offers 1GB of data per day, unlimited voice calls and 100SMS messages with a validity of 84 days.

Along with these offers, BSNL also recently launched a Rs 118 prepaid pack that offers 1GB of 3G/4G data per day, unlimited voice calls (except Mumbai and Delhi circles) and 100 SMS with a validity of 28 days.
