Airtel, which is the second largest telecom operator in India, has launched a new prepaid plan of Rs 558 for its customers to offer 3GB of data per day with a validity of 82 days. Under the Rs 558 prepaid plan, the company is also offering unlimited local/STD and roaming calls to all networks and 100SMS messages per day along with the data benefits. With a total validity of 82 days, the plan does not come with any FUP limits. Airtel has launched a number of new plans in a bid to take on its rivals like Vodafone and Reliance Jio which also offers similar plans.

To recall, Vodafone has recently launched two new prepaid plans of Rs 509 and Rs 349 to challenge its competitors. While the Rs 509 plan offers 1.4GB of data per day along with calling and SMS benefits for 90 days, the Rs 349 plan offers 3GB of data per day with a validity of 84 days. Interestingly, Airtel has also recently revised its Rs 399 plan to offer 2.4GB of data per day to limited users.

Talking about the plans of Reliance Jio, it has a prepaid plan of Rs 299 that offers 3GB of data per day but has a shorter validity period of just 28 days. It also has plans with higher validity periods like the Rs 498 and the Rs 509 plans. While the Rs 498 plan offers 2GB of data per day with a validity of 91 days, the Rs 509 plan offers 4GB of data per day with a validity of 28 days.

Coming back to Airtel, it has also revised its Rs 149 prepaid plan that now offers 2GB of 3G/4G data per day with a validity period of 28 days. Earlier the limit was just 1GB per day with the same validity period.
