iBall Imprint 4G Tablet with Integrated Fingerprint Sensor Launched in India

iBall has launched a new 4G tablet in India called Imprint that comes with a unique integrated fingerprint sensor. The company has claimed that the fingerprint sensor is STQC certified and can be used for Aadhaar data verification easily. The smartphone can be used both for scanning and verifying the details as well as for verifying the identity of a particular person by checking the biometric information.

Talking about the specifications, the iBall Imprint 4G tablet features a 7-inch IPS HD display with a screen resolution of 1024 X 600 pixels. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core ARM Cortex A53 64bit processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage space. The internal storage can be further upgraded with the help of a micro-SD card up to a maximum of 32GB.

On the optics front, the iBall Imprint 4G tablet comes with a 5-megapixel autofocus rear camera supported by an LED flash. On the front, the device features another 5-megapixel sensor to taking selfies accompanied by an LED flash. The device, however, runs on the older Android 7.0 Nougat version. Whether it will receive the latest Android 8.1 Oreo update after its launch is not clear now.

On the connectivity front, the device comes with Dual SIM support, 4G VoLTE, dual-band WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, multiple USB ports, USB OTG port, Micro HDMI port, Cast Screen and Bluetooth v4.0. It also features a LAN and comes with DC charging capabilities to keep the USB ports free for performing other jobs. Additionally, it sports an STQC certified Iris Scanner.

The device is fueled by a massive 5,000mAh battery under the hood and also features a multi-language keyboard that supports 22 regional languages apart from English. Sensors on board the device include GPS, AGPS, ambient light sensor, phone calling G sensor, magnetic sensor and a fingerprint sensor. The iBall Imprint 4G tablet will be available only in one color variant of black and will be available at a price of Rs 18,999.
