Moto E5 and Moto E5 Plus Now Supports Vodafone VoLTE Service in India

Motorola Moto E5 and Moto E5 Plus are the latest offerings from the Lenovo owned company that sports an 18:9 aspect ratio display at affordable prices. Just like other smartphones from the company launched in India, the Moto E5 series of handsets run on the latest stock Android version.

Now Motorola has rolled out a new software update to the two devices that enables the Vodafone VoLTE service which was not supported all this while. With this new feature, the users of these two smartphones will be able to use the VoLTE service for making high-quality voice and video calls through the Vodafone network. Notably, Vodafone 4G VoLTE is now available in 13 circles across the country which includes Karnataka, Delhi & NCR, Gujarat, Haryana, Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata, Maharashtra & Goa, Kerala, Punjab, Rajasthan, UP (East and West).

To use the service, the users just have to download and install the latest update on their devices. They can do that by diving to Settings> About Phone> System Update. Once the update is downloaded, a popup will appear to install the same. Once permission is granted, the update will start installing on its own.

Coming to the price of the two devices, the Moto E5 is available for Rs 9,999 while the larger Moto E5 Plus is available for Rs 11,999 across leading e-commerce sites like Flipkart and Amazon and also third-party offline retailers.

To recall the specifications, the Moto E5 features a 5.7-inch full HD+ IPS LCD display and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 quad-core chipset coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage. The internal storage is further upgradable with a micro-SD card. In terms of optics, the smartphone sports a 13-megapixel rear camera accompanied by an LED flash and on the front, it features a 5-megapixel sensor. Powered by a massive 4,000mAh battery under the hood that supports Turbo Charge, the phone runs on stock Android Oreo.

The Moto E5 Plus on the other hand sports a larger 6-inch full HD+ IPS LCD display and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage. The phone features a 12-megapixel sensor on the rear and a selfie camera of 5-megapixel on the front panel. The device is powered by a larger 5,000mAh battery with Turbo Charge capability and runs on stock Android Oreo.
