According to the given listing hints, Xiaomi will soon make an entry into the US smartphone market ,but then again, not every smartphone marked with the FCC certification ends up being launched in the US market. The Redmi 2 Pro turns out to be the US variant of a recently launched Xiaomi phone, the Redmi 2 Prime, unveiled in India back in August. Both the phone features almost identical specifications, except for the network support. As per the FCC documents, the Xiaomi Redmi 2 Pro will run on Android v 5.1 (Lollipop) based OS MIUI 7 out-of-the-box, as the Chinese smartphone maker has already started rolling out the brand new MIUI 7 to users. The handset will also sport 4G LTE (supports bands 2,4 and 7), 3G, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n (2.4GHz) connectivity features as well. The Redmi 2 Pro will flaunt a 4.7-inch full HD display with 720×1280 pixels resolution and 312 pixels per inch. The phone will be powered with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC (four Cortex A53 cores clocked up to 1.2GHz) processor clocked with Adreno 306 GPU. Furthermore, the device will house 2GB RAM as well. Xiaomi’s Redmi Pro 2 will provide 16GB of inbuilt storage which can be further expanded to 32 GB via memory card and will be powered with 2200mAh battery. The handset will also sport an 8 MP primary rear camera with autofocus, flash, 1080p HD video recording facility and a 2 MP back camera for clicking selfies. This latest device from Xiaomi will feature Accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass sensors and will also come with Quick Charge 1.0 fast charging chargers. Xiaomi’s Redmi 2 Pro is being anticipated to launch in the US market in the early stages of 2016. Xiaomi back in February declared it would step into the US market, but would begin in a small way with the launch of accessories. The company eventually stepped into the US market by May, with the company selling accessories in the US via its Mi.com portal. In July, company’s director Hugo Barra said the company will strengthen its intellectual property portfolio first and then will make entry into the US smartphone market. Over the week, two leaked photos of the unannounced Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro has stormed the Web world. The handset is believed to arrive in two variants. While one painted with white color would house a fingerprint sensor on the back panel below the rear camera, the other version would completely miss out on that particular feature and would be of dark gray color. The phone will cost approximately 170 $ or Rs.10,000 and will be available from the early part of 2016.
