Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Release Date, Features, Price and Availability

For the last few weeks, Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is keeping their fans on their toes by releasing a lot of leaks, rumors and as well as teasers and building speculations about the company’s upcoming device launching event at Beijing ,China. Fans are hoping for at least two new product launches at the company’s Grand Finale Event on 24^th November and among them one will be the all new Xiaomi Redmi Note 3.

Last week Xiaomi’s President and Co-founder, Lin Bin, posted a teaser image of an upcoming Redmi Note series smartphone and we expected that this new phone will be coined as the Redmi Note 2 Pro, but the company has officially revealed that the phone is going to be dubbed as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3.

This brand new Xiaomi smartphone which is going to be unveiled tomorrow will be the successor of Redmi Note 2 that was introduced back in August and will also sport a fingerprint sensor on the back and will come with a unibody metal build.

It is quite surprising that despite launching the Redmi Note 2 just a few months back, Xiaomi is considering the fingerprint sensor upgrade and all metal build to be worthy enough for a new generation version. It is confirmed that Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 will be the first of its kind to sport a fingerprint ID as well as the all metal design at the same time. According to the leaked image, this smartphone will come with a smooth metal body at the back, and the fingerprint sensor is placed at the right below the rear camera. Between the camera and the fingerprint sensor, we can see a dual LED flash as well.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 features a traditional Xiaomi design with capactive buttons and a camera sensor right on top. The display is expected to flaunt a 5.5-inch panel with Full HD IPS display with 1920 X 1080 pixel resolution, same one as its predecessor, the Redmi Note 2.

Redmi Note 3 will come with the almost same specs as the Redmi Note 2, so it is speculated that Redmi Note 3 will house the MT6795 Helio X10 under the hood clocked at 2.0GHz with 2GB RAM (3GB RAM variant is also a possibility).Moreover, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 will be powered with a 3060mAh battery and will offer a minimum of 16GB internal storage.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 will run on the company’s customized OS MIUI 7 based on the Android 5.0.1 Lollipop. This latest smartphone form Xiaomi will sport a 13MP rear camera along with 5MP front facing snapper for taking selfies. As the Redmi Note 3 will come with a full metal design, the phone will measure 149.98 × 75.96 × 8.75 mm dimension wise(slightly thicker than Redmi Note 2) and will weigh a bit more than its older version, Redmi Note 2 at 165 grams. Xiaomi also revealed a teaser image showing off the Redmi Note 3 will come in three color variants – Gold, Silver and Grey.

Since Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 features almost the same specs as its predecessor Redmi Note 2, the all new Redmi Note 3 is expected to be priced at around 1099 Yuan which comes to just $172 or Rs.11,000.
