The Indian tech giant, Micromax launched its latest 4G enabled smartphone, Canvas Pulse 4G on Tuesday .Priced at Rs. 9999, Canvas Pulse 4G is available for sale from Tuesday, exclusively via India’s biggest online retailer, Flipkart. Micromax Canvas Pulse 4G is the company’s third launch this month following the unfurling of the Canvas Mega and Canvas Mega 4G.
Micromax Canvas Pulse 4G Features
The Micromax Canvas Pulse 4G sports a 5-inch high-definition IPS display with 720×1280 pixels resolution and is powered by a 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek (MT6753) processor paired with 3GB of RAM and Mali-T720 GPU. The handset comes packed with 16 GB of inbuilt storage which can be further expanded up to 32 GB via microSD card.
Canvas Pulse 4G flaunts a 13 mega pixel rear camera with autofocus capability and is accompanied by LED flash. Also this dual SIM handset features a 5 mega pixel secondary front camera supported by LED flash again, for taking selfies. Canvas Pulse 4G runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box and is powered by a 2100 mAh battery.
Dimension wise Canvas Pulse 4G measures 140.8×70.4×8.8mm and the phone is available in only one color, black. On the connectivity aspect, the handset offers GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth options along with the 4G LTE. Also the smartphone comes with sensors such as ambient light sensor, accelerometer, magnetometer, and proximity sensor.
As India is standing on the verge of 4G evolution, Micromax set eyes to cash in the situation. The company is aiming to capture the market of mid-price range phones with high-end features. The CEO of the Micromax Informatics Ltd, Vineet Taneja said at the launch event “India is currently at the cusp of 4G evolution, and Micromax is fully prepared to lead this march with a range of 4G devices from value to premium segments, which deliver best-in-class performance and design across price points for the diverse Indian consumers”
Micromax confirmed in the press statement that their strategic partnership with Flipkart on the Micromax Xpress smartphones this year has helped them to sellover 500,000 units of Xpress devices in less than 5 months. The company also announced a partnership with Airtel to provide an introductory 4G double data offer for a period of 6 months across its all 4G range of smartphones.
The CEO of the company, Mr. Taneja later added that “Our latest launch, Canvas Pulse 4G is our premium yet powerful product with Flipkart offering 3GB RAM and octa-core at a never before price reiterating our commitment to democratizing technology for the new age digital natives who want to be connected all the time.
