Coolpad launches black edition of Note 3, will manufacture 1 million devices in India

Coolpad launched the Note 3 about 3 months ago in the Indian market, at that point of time the device was just launched in a single color; white. The company today launched the black edition of the device exclusively for Amazon users.

On the launch of Coolpad Note 3 the company also announced that it was soon going to start its manufacturing operations in India. The company said that it was going to invest $300 million in manufacturing, research and development as well as ID design in India. The company today announced that is is going to begin its manufacturing in first half of 2016. The company is going to start the operations by manufacturing one million Coolpad devices in India. These devices will be manufactured in Videocon’s facility which is situated in Aurangabad, Maharashtra.

In case you forgot or don’t know about the device’s specification then here is a quick recap! The device comes with a 5.5-inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and a corning gorilla glass protection. The device runs on a 1.3GHz octa-core chipset and also includes 3GB of RAM. Coolpad Note 3 also comes with 16GB internal memory which is expandable up to 64GB. The device supports dual SIMs and 4G LTE. It comes with a 13MP camera on the back and a 5MP camera on the front.

To increase the amount of security in Coolpad Note 3 is equipped with a fingerprint sensor which is super accurate and fast. It is capable of recognizing a fingerprint within just 0.3 seconds.

Coolpad Note 3 Black edition will come at the same price i.e Rs. 8,999. This also makes it the cheapest device to come with a fingerprint sensor and 3GB of RAM.
