Chinese smartphone makers, Huawei with the association their terminal brand Honor has launched two new smartphones, Honor 5X and Honor Holly 2 Plus in India today. The honor 5X is priced at Rs.12999 while the Honor Holly 2 Plus comes with a cheaper price tag, Rs.8499.
Both 5X and Holly 2 Plus will be available for sale on Amazon India and Flipkart. The Chinese company has already started taking pre orders for the Honor 5X and the sales will kick off from 1st of February while on the other hand the Holly 2 Plus will be up for the purchase from 15th February, this year. For your information Honor 5X was launched in China back in the October and is already a massive hit for its cool features and spces. Key Features of Honor 5X
Honor 5X sports a 5.5-inch full-HD IPS display with 1080×1920 pixels resolution, pixel density of 400 PPI and a 72 percent screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood, the phone is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor (four Cortex-A53 cores at 1.7GHz + four Cortex-A53 cores at 1.2GHz), coupled with 2GB of RAM & Adreno 405 GPU. Moreover the Honor 5X comes packed with 16 GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 128 GB via a microSD card.

On the camera front of the phone, 5X flaunts a 13-megapixel primary camera on the rear end of the phone accompanied with dual-LED flash, 28mm wide-angle lens, f/2.0 aperture, SmartImage 3.0 image processor,5P lens, and Blue Glass IR filter. There is also a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with 1.4 micron pixel size included in the latest Honor 5X equipped with features like 22mm wide-angle, f/2.2 aperture, 4P Lens, Blue Glass filter and a shooting range of 88 degrees. Apart from these, the manufacturer has put some other notable features; like Auto Flash, Face detection, Continuous Shooting, Geo tagging, High Dynamic Range mode (HDR), Touch to focus and a bunch of shooting modes like Time-lapse mode, Food mode, slow motion video recording at 120fps; into the phone to enhance the photo taking experience of the users.

The Honor 5X also comes with a fingerprint scanner placed just below the rear camera. The scanner is powered by company’s own ‘Fingerprint Identification 2.0′ technology and can unlock the device in half a second. Apart from securing the phone, the fingerprint scanner can also be used for other tasks like answering calls, locking files & apps and clicking photos among others.
The Honor 5X runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with the EMUI 3.1 skinned on top of it. The handset is backed by a 3000mAh battery, which according to the company claims can deliver up to 1.46 days of regular usage time and up to 1.01 days of heavy usage time. The phone also comes with Quick Charge 3.0 support which can charge up 50 percent of battery in only 30 minutes.
