Alcatel, formerly known as Alcatel OneTouch, unveiled Alcatel Plus 10 2-in-1 Windows 10 Tablet at the Mobile World Conference 2016. Alcatel’s first 2-in-1 device powered by Windows 10 is one of the few connected 10-inch 2-in-1s on the market. Available in four colours, namely metallic silver, matte white, matte volcano black and warm gray leather finish variants, the device showcased at MWC 2016 in Barcelona along side two other Alcatel devices, the Alcatel OneTouch Idol 4 and Idol 4s. The tablet is expected to go on sale from June 2016 in Europe, Latin America, Middle East and Africa. Although the price of the tablet is yet to be revealed.
The phone comes with a 10.00-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280 pixels by 800 pixels and runs on 1.92GHz Quad-Core Intel Cherry Trail T3 Z8350 processor. The quad-core Intel processor, combined with Windows 10, provides for maximum productivity during the day. The 2-in-1 tablet sports a 10.1-inch HD IPS 10-point capctivie multi-touch display with resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. The press release says, “PLUS 10 is ALCATEL’s first 2-in-1 device with Windows 10, and we’re very proud of all the functionality we’ve built into it,” said Vittorio Di Mauro, General Manager of Smart Connectivity at ALCATEL. “PLUS 10 goes everywhere I go – the house, the office, even the park! It’s a fun product that sparks a lot of conversation (and jealousy).”

The device is powered by a 1.92 GHz Quad-CoreIntel Cherry Trail T3 Z8350 processor that comes with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of in-built storage capacity which can be expanded up to 64GB using microSD card. The dual front speakers with 3D audio effect coupled with a high-resolution IPS display guarantee a stunning surround sound experience to the users.
The device sports a 5MP rear camera along with a 2MP front-facing camera with front flash which is ideal for video calls and runs on Windows 10 OS. The tablet comes with dual front speakers which give good sound output. For connectivity, the Alcatel Plus 10 2-in-1 Windows 10 Tablet has got 4G LTE in keyboard along with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n along with Bluetooth 4.0. There’s a 5830mAh battery in the tablet and a 2580mAh battery in the detachable keyboard. It’s worth mentioning that the detachable keyboard features a Micro USB 2.0 port, single USB 3.0 port, and micro HDMI port.
The company informs, that as an entertainment media, ‘Alcatel Plus 10 2-in-1 Windows 10 Tablet ‘can be used in dock mode to view videos or movies. To top it off, the dual front speakers, with immersive 3D sound, coupled with the high-resolution (1280 x 800) IPS screen technology, make film watching and gaming an extra pleasure.’ Further more, ‘is compact and 40 percent lighter than an average laptop. When used in tablet mode, without the keyboard, it is even more portable and is an ideal companion for travel or commutes, to browse the Web, play games or serve as an e-book reader.’
To complete PLUS 10’s long list of functionalities, the tablet can be used in laptop mode to type documents, or spreadshets and in dock mode to display presentations and slides.

Its worth mentioning, that along with Alcatel Plus 10 2-in-1 Windows 10 Tablet, two other tablets are launched at the Mobile World Conference 2016, those are – Fujitsu 2-in-1 STYLISTIC Q736 and Lenovo Idea MIX 310. The Lenovo Idea MIX 310 is a 10.1-inch tablet that comes with 1920 x 1080 pixels full high definition display. It runs on Intel Atom X5-8300 processor which has an integrated Intel graphic card. It comes paired with 2GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage capacity. The Lenovo Idea MIX 310 sports 2Mp front camera and 5MP rear camera.
As for Fujitsu 2-in-1 STYLISTIC Q736, its key selling point is the Fujitsu’s PalmSense technology to scan veins of your palm. Measuring around 309.6 x 199.3 x 12.7 mm, it weighs only 0.990 kgs. The tablet sports 13.2-inch full-HD display with 1920 x 1080 resolutions. Its powered by 6th Generation Intel Core i7 vPro processor, 8GB RAM and Intel HD Graphics 520. Moreover the tablet offers two types of storage capacity – 128GB/256GB and 512GB. Lastly Fujitsu 2-in-1 STYLISTIC Q736 features 2MP front-facing camera and a 5MP rear camera.
