Fujitsu Announces 2-in-1 STYLISTIC Q736 Tablet at MWC 2016

At the MWC 2016, Japanese electronics company Fujitsu unveiled its brand new product, 2-in-1 STYLISTIC Q736 Tablet. Looking at what the device has to offer, on can guess that it’s specifically made for people who are focused on security. or security, the Stylistic Q736 packs Fujitsu’s PalmSense technology to scan veins of your palm. The company claims that  this is far more faster, better and secure than the security offered biometric security options which includes finger-scan and iris-scanner. Now lets see what the Windows 10 (Pro) based 2-in-1 tablet has to offer its users over-all. The tablet features, dual-digitalizers with support for finger-input and pen, an optional key docking system that allows you to dock the tablet so that it can be used like a laptop. To able able to use the tablet whatever way you want, there also comes a desktop cradle that allows Fujitsu 2-in-1 STYLISTIC Q736 Tablet to be used like a desktop.

Straight away getting down to the specifics, the tablet sports a 13.2-inch IPS full-HD anti-glare display with 1920 x 1080 resolutions along with dual digitizer touchscreen. The Fujitsu STYLISTIC Q736 2-in-1 runs on Windows 10 OS. The device is powered by a 6th Generation Intel Core i7 vPro processor that comes with coupled with 8GB of RAM and  Intel HD Graphics 520. The tablet comes with two storage capacity 128GB/256GB and 512GB.  And features 5MP rear camera and a 2MP front-facing camera. The rear camera comes with auto focus and photo LED which is pretty excellent.

Other features include   3 USB 2.0 ports, HDMI port, SIM card and microSD card slot. The tablet is powered by a powerful battery that promises to battery life of 9.5 hours in a single charge. And when paired with the keyboard dock the battery life extends to up to 15 hours.

PalmSense technology

Like we said earlier, for security, the Stylistic Q736 makes use of Fujitsu’s PalmSense technology – an enterprise-level security that features hard drives and TPM security; the devices are encrypted too. This is the device’s selling point really. Besides the PalmSense technology other options of authentications are SmartCard technology and contactless SmartCard via NFC. The tablet also features Intel’s TPM1 that provides storage for passwords and security keys.

For the palm sensor, as shown in the above image one needs to hold her/his palm over the box jutting out from the side of the tablet, at least for a few seconds, during which your palm will be scanned and if the data recieved matches with the data provided by the tablet owner then the tablet will unlock.

Fujitsu 2-in-1 STYLISTIC Q736 Tablet

The Fujitsu 2-in-1 STYLISTIC Q736 tablet, like the Alcatel Plus 10 2-in-1 and Idea MIX 310 by Lenovo was unveiled at the Mobile World Conference 2016. A little can be added about these two tablets.

The Lenovo Idea MIX 310 is a 10.1-inch tablet with 1920 x 1080 pixels full HD resolution. Its powered by Intel Atom X5-8300 processor and comes with integrated Intel graphics. It’s got  2GB of RAM and 128GB in-built storage space. The tablet sports 2MP front facing camera and a 5MP rear camera and supports connectivity of  Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and has optional 4G LTE. As for the Alcatel Plus 10, its got 10.1-inch HD IPS 10-point capctivie multi-touch display with 1280 x 800 pixels. The processor is  1.92 GHz Quad-CoreIntel Cherry Trail T3 Z8350 that comes coupled with  2GB of RAM and 32GB in-built storage space which can be further expanded up to 64GB using microSD card. The device sports a 5MP rear camera along with a 2MP front-facing camera and runs on Windows 10 OS.  It is powered by a 5830mAh battery and has connectivity features like 4G LTE in keyboard along with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n along with Bluetooth 4.0.
