The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine Release Date, Trailer, What’s New, Price

Developed by CD Projekt RED, the last game of The Witcher series – The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings came out in 2011. We thought Witcher 2 had the finest RPG of our time until we saw the trailer of The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine. Based on the novels by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski, the game revolves around the monster hunter named Geralt of Rivia aka Witcher, who lives in a fantasy world built on Polish history and Slavic mythology. We can’t wait for the third instalment of The Witcher to release on May 31 but until then we’ve come up with a post that’ll provide you complete information on everything related to the upcoming game.

The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine – What’s New?

The New World

Set in the fictional world of Toussaints, Geralt’s new world is more colourful and visually untouched by the ravages of war. The place looks upon beautiful mountain, beautiful flowers ad brooks. According to the developers the playing area is about the same size as No Man’s Land in Velen, but with many more points of interest. By the looks of it, Geralt is on vacation, catching up old friends but witches are not too far.

It’s Got Loads of Drama, Twists and Turns

Despite the colourful landscape, it’s not like the game turns into a jolly British period drama. The Witcher 3 will retain it grim fantasy and gory stuffs. Just when you think you’re getting the hang of the world and its people, something happens and you plunge into another great adventure.

Mutations and Signs

New upgrades called mutations have also been added. They are equipped to deliver powerful punches to special magical attacks and can also be applied to different weapons. In total the 12 mutations actually enhances the gaming experience by adding extra layer to the combat strategy.
