Assassin’s Creed Will Get a Big Reveal At E3 2017

A new Assassin’s Creed announcement is on the way soon, and it happens to be related to a new main entry in the series. The news comes straight from the camps of Ubisoft, who have revealed during their 2017 earnings report that they are adding to the franchise in question, along with a new Far Cry game and The Crew 2.

According to Ubisoft, the company plans to push put all of these entries during the current financial year that runs from April 1, 2017, to March 31, 2018. That leaves us to wonder if the promised new Assassin’s Creed game will be released in 2017 itself, or during the first quarter of next year. But that’s not the only thing we are worries about- truth is, the next AC entry has been at the center of speculations ever since early 2016, when it was rumored that the new game would be called Assassins Creed Empire.

Since then, we have heard conflicting reports based on leaks about the upcoming game, and the rumors gained speed shortly after Ubisoft’s CEO announced that they were taking the year (2016) off to focus on redirecting the game’s future. This, most agreed, was especially important after the most recent couple of games failed to strike it big both with gamers or at the market. Soon after, a leak surfaced hinting that Empire might be set in Egypt.

2017 brought in a flurry of new rumors, and reports now stated that the title had been renamed to Assassin’s Creed Origins. However, they seemed to agree on the Egyptian location, adding that it was going back in time. But with the new vast open world structure that Origins is reportedly following, players might be able to venture across locations beyond Egypt, and even jump to different time periods in history.

While we have no confirmation from Ubisoft regarding any of these, what we do know is that the creators have already begun teasing the game with images and GIFs. Focus on “a new era” has also been highlighted, and we have been told that a big reveal is coming in June at the E3 event. We can’t wait for Ubisoft to make things official.
