Alcatel U5 HD Now Official With Splendid Features And Android Nougat Support

Alcatel, which is a French-Finnish-Chinese giant, has now come up with an upgraded version of the Alcatel U5, which was unveiled at the Mobile World Congress or MWC this year in February. The new model is called the Alcatel U5 HD. We had earlier reported on the Alcatel U5 HD in detail. The new device will add better features and specs, we expect.

The new Alcatel A5 HD has a lot of very good features which also act as value differentiators. It has on board a 5.5-inch HD IPS display which has a screen resolution of 720×1280 pixels. At the heart of the device is a standard MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor which is clocked at 1.1GHz. The device will come equipped with 1GB of RAM and will run on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat operating platform.

Providing adequate juice to the device is a 2200 mAh battery. Alcatel has stated that this will enable the user to enjoy 4 hours of talk time besides 200 hours of standby time.

The new Alcatel U5 HD will come with 8GB of internal or native storage; users can expand this to 128 GB via a microSD card. This new Alcatel device will come with an 8MP rear/primary camera which also boasts of autofocus. Also on board is a 5-megapixel front snapper which will also have LED flash support. As far as the connectivity front is concerned, the new Alcatel U5 HD comes with Dual SIM, 4G/LTE, WiFi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac), micro-USB port, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS/A-GPS.

As of now, we do not know how much the new device will cost. We expect that it will be a budget device and will be a keen competitor to the other devices in the same segment. Two color options will be made available: Volcano Black and Pure White.
