Moto X5 is Apparently Under Development, May Launch Next Year

Despite the fact that Motorola’s Moto X series had a certain charm (ever since the company introduced the first Moto X smartphone followed by the second-gen Moto X and the Moto X Style), the tech industry didn’t get a new Moto X phone since the year 2015. Fast forward to 2017 and Lenovo-owned Motorola incorporated some power-packed features and introduced the mid-range device in the Moto X lineup- the Moto X4. Thanks to Motorola which left no stone unturned and recovered the fame of X series. Now we know that the series of Moto X Android smartphones are still in the mind of developers and the company is apparently planning a new Moto X smartphone for next year- may be the Moto X5?

Things get easier and apparent when we refer to the latest news that surfaced online in the midst of swirling rumors, indicating that fans can expect a new Moto X smartphone dubbed the Moto X5 in 2018. The famous tipster Evan Blass, in his leak via Twitter, has also mentioned, “Let’s stop calling it “Moto X 2017,” eh?” Following this, here goes the Moto X5 leaked image, an image that suggests the branding of the alleged smartphone: the Moto X5!

Although there’s a little possibility to know much of what can safely be called Moto X5, the release pattern of Moto X devices can give us information in plenty. While the new Moto X4 was introduced in the month of August and eventually got official in October, one may expect a similar strategy of launch to be taken over by the company. If this is what we think, one may also expect the alleged Moto X5 to get launched in fall 2018.

To recall, Moto X4 sports a 5.2-inch LTPS IPS LCD screen and supports a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. the device also comes a layer of Gorilla Glass 4 on top. Powering Moto X4, there’s  a Snapdragon 630 chipset coupled with 3GB/4GB RAM. On the optics front, there’s a 12-megapixel lens with an aperture of f/2.0 and an 8-megapixel secondary lens alongside an aperture of f/2.2. The device runs  Android 7.1 Nougat OS, out-of-the-box and supports both Google Assistant as well as Amazon Alexa. For the time being, one has to look for more leaks and rumors to come in the coming days which can unfold more about this alleged Moto X5.
