Apple’s New iPad Models Get Registered as ‘Tablets’: Are They iPad Pro 2’s Versions?

With the advent of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) this year, several tech companies have been unveiling their gadgets. An entire one year’s wait has been put to a close from the house of Samsung which has finally unleashed its 2018 flagships. Following the bandwagon of Samsung, there are other companies who are showcasing their devices. But when it comes to Apple, we surely need to wait some couple of months more, for the Cupertino tech giant strategically launches its newer versions of the operating system at the WWDC event every year. Apart from iOS 12, rumors are rife that Apple might announce new iPad models, dubbed the iPad Pro 2.

Apple’s New iPad Release Date: What’s on The Cards?

Last year, Apple launched three new iPads with  9.7-inches, 10.5-inches, and 12.9-inches sizes respectively. And this year, the thought itself leads us to discuss the upcoming Apple iPad Pro 2 with expected release date and features. The recently unveiled iPads were launched at the WWDC event 2017. This leads us to expect the next generation iPad, dubbed the iPad Pro 2 release date might reasonably be at WWDC 2018 this summer.

Reports from the French-language site, Consomac (via Macworld), echoes that Apple has already registered two new models which have been described as tablets running the iOS 11 OS. According to the leak, the model identifiers are A1893 and A1954. In addition to this, Bloomberg reports that the new iPads will be ‘a little more than a year after the last major iPad Pro upgrade’. This closely indicates that the new iPad model, dubbed the iPad Pro 2, might get launched early autumn or late summer, i.e., September or August.

Apple’s New iPad Rumored ‘Modern iPad’: Coming Soon!

Sources claim that one of the upcoming iPad models might ditch the Home Button, which means that this time the Cupertino tech giant will implement the edge-to-edge screen with the replacement of Touch ID plus Face ID. The rumors just increased with a leap when the code was found in the iOS 11.3 beta which referred to an unidentified “modern iPad” so far. Last time Apple used the phrase: ‘modern iPhone’ just ahead of the iPhone X release date. While it is too early to talk more about the upcoming Apple’s iPad, the aforesaid speculations might be regarded with a grain of salt.
