The Moto G6 series include the Moto G6, the Moto G6 Play, and the Moto G6 Plus. The latest update of the Moto Camera app comes with a completely redesigned user interface that will make it easier for users to change modes. The Moto G6 series of smartphones is likely to come with the updated Moto Camera app, while users of other Moto devices will have to manually update the app from the Google Play Store. The update is currently available on the Google Play Store and as per the changelog on Play Store, the latest update comes with a “new 2018 camera user interface”.

Talking about the changes that the new update will bring, as per a report by 9to5Google, the first change is in the icon of the camera app itself. The new icon design may be in line with a new theme that will be introduced in the upcoming Moto G6 series smartphones. Also, the camera app will no longer be divided into three sections of photo, video and mode select. Instead, the users will need to swipe to get to the respective modes after the update.

In the mode select option of the app, the users can choose between panoramas, camera settings, and slow-motion videos. The users will be able to toggle between HDR mode, timer, flash and manual mode from the top of the camera app. Talking about the settings page of the camera app, earlier the users had to swipe into the settings screen from the viewfinder and would then be able to select the options. After the update, the settings menu has been made independent with a completely opaque background to make the options easily viewable by the users.
