Lenovo A5 with 5.4-inch Full HD Display and 4000mAh Battery Launched

Alongside the Lenovo Z5, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has also launched a budget smartphone dubbed as Lenovo A5. The Lenovo Z5 was in the headlines for quite sometime courtesy of a giant battery that can reportedly power the device for 45 days. Apart from that, Chang Cheng, VP of Lenovo had also claimed that the smartphone features 4TB of storage that can store more than 2000 HD movies. Coming to the Lenovo A5, it is a budget smartphone from the company but does come with some great features.

Talking about the specifications, the Lenovo A5 comes with a 5.4-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 1440 X 720 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio. It also boasts 2.5D curved glass on top. The smartphone is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6739 64 bit processor with PowerVR Rogue GE8100 GPU. It features 3GB of RAM and will be available in two variants of 16GB and 32GB inbuilt storage. The memory can be further upgraded with a micro-SD card up to 128GB.

On the optics front, the smartphone sports a single 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and f/2.2 aperture. The smartphone also features a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel that is placed near the middle. On the front, the device features an 8-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture for taking clearer selfies and video calling.

Connectivity options on the Lenovo A5 include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS. Talking about the design elements, the device comes with a metal-like finish but does not feature a metal back panel. The volume rockers and the power button are placed on the right edge of the smartphone. It also features very thin bezels on the sides. Powered by a massive 4,000mAh battery, the smartphone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo flavor with ZUI 3.9 Lite.

The Lenovo A5 will be available in three color variants of Black, Gold and Rose Gold. Pricing starts at 599 Yuan (Rs 6,290 approximately) for the 16GB variant in China. The smartphone is likely to be made available in India soon.
