Samsung Galaxy Watch Spotted on US Website Briefly Ahead of August 9 Launch

Samsung Galaxy Watch is expected to get unveiled alongside the Galaxy Note 9 and the Galaxy Tab S4 on August 9. However just a few days ahead of the launch, the smartwatch was spotted on the company’s US website for a brief period of time. The listing with model number SM-R810NZDAXAR comes in Rose Gold color option and is 42mm in size. It may be recalled that last week, a Galaxy Watch with model number SM-R815 had received the FCC certification. Some rumors are also doing the rounds that the Galaxy Watch will be unveiled in additional variants with model numbers SM-R800, SM-R805, and SM-R810.

As per CNet, a Twitter user by the name of Sarah K Sugabetic with twitter handle @sugabeticme has spotted the Samsung Galaxy Watch for the first time on the US website of Samsung. The smartwatch was found listed alongside its predecessors like Gear S2,. Gear S3 and Gear Sport. The report also stated that although the link was connected to a dead page, the listing showed a photo and product description including the Rose Gold color variant of the device with Bluetooth connectivity.

The listing was quickly removed by the company but the image posted by the user on Twitter confirms that the design elements of the upcoming smartwatch match that of its predecessors like Gear S3 and gear Sport. The dial appears to include the rotating bezel found on the Gear S3 last year. The upcoming smartwatch is expected to be powered by a larger 470mAh battery unlike 380mAh battery found on last year’s model. Apart from that, the new Galaxy Watch is also expected to arrive with Bixby integration.

As of now, no information is available about the pricing or the number of variants that will be unveiled by Samsung. However, as the official launch date is not far away, we will not have to wait for long to get all the necessary information. The launch event will take place on August 9 in New York and the company is expected to unveil the Galaxy Note 9 and galaxy tab S4 alongside the smartwatch.
