Google Pixel 3 XL with 4GB RAM and Running on Android 9 Spotted on Geekbench

Google Pixel 3 XL which is set to become the next flagship offering from Google alongside the Google Pixel 3 is likely to be launched earlier than expected. This is because the smartphone has been found to be listed on the Geekbench benchmarking website revealing the specifications in the process.

Google Pixel 3 XL Geekbench listing

As per the listing, the Google Pixel 3 XL has scored 2426 points in the single-core test and 8355 points in the multi-core test by the company. These scores are similar to the Asus ZenFone 5z which was launched some time ago. The slight difference in scores could be attributed to the RAM content in these two devices. While the Google Pixel 3 XL features 4GB of RAM, the Asus ZenFone 5z sports 6GB RAM. The Geekbench listing also reveals that the Google Pixel 3 XL will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC.

Another interesting stat revealed by the listing is that the Google Pixel 3 XL will run on Android P aka Android Pistachio out of the box. Android P is expected to be rolled out in mid-August by Google and the Google Pixel 3 XL could become the smartphone to run on the latest iteration of Android.

As per earlier leaked renders, the Pixel 3 XL device is expected to arrive with an all-glass design with support for wireless charging. It is also likely to feature a single camera on the rear panel like the Pixel 2 XL.

An interesting addition to the Google Pixel 3 XL is the front display notch. Just like the Apple iPhone X, the Pixel 3 XL is also expected to arrive with a display notch that will house some sensors and the front-facing camera module. Google is expected to launch the Pixel 3 XL alongside the Pixel 3 by the end of August or early September.
